EB-1A vs O-1A
O-1A is a nonimmigrant work visa. EB-1A is an immigrant category (a green card path). Both talk about extraordinary ability. They are not interchangeable.
The practical split
O-1 usually needs a U.S. employer or agent and is temporary. EB-1A can be a self petition and, if approved and a visa number is available, leads toward permanent residence. Some people work on O-1 while they build an EB-1A file. That sequence is for counsel, not this tool.
We only map evidence to the EB-1A regulation. If you need to be in the U.S. on a known date, O-1 may be the first conversation. Full table: EB-1A vs NIW vs O-1.
