EB-1A for product managers
Also searched as EB1A for product managers.
EB-1A for product managers. Shipping a roadmap is not a criterion. Critical role, adopted work, press, and salary are the usual boxes. Free check. Not a USCIS decision.
Who this is for
Product leaders whose work is recognized beyond their own company.
Evidence that usually matters
- Critical role at a distinguished company, with proof the outcome depended on you
- Original contributions: a product, method, or market move others copied or licensed
- Published material about you in major or professional media
- High salary or remuneration compared with a real survey, when that is true
What often does not hold up
- Metrics that only your employer can see, with no independent exhibit
- A launch blog post written by your own team
- Calling stakeholder reviews “judging”
Business uses the same ten boxes
Product management usually sits in business. There is no product-manager criterion. Officers still want three of the ten, or one true major award, and then final merits. A well-known employer and a revenue number are context. They are not the showing.
Exhibits that are not the roadmap
Press that is about you, not only the product launch. A method or category other companies adopted, documented by someone who does not report to you. A compensation survey for that role and city. Judging only if you were chosen to judge other people’s work, and you finished it.
EB-1A is a self-petition. You can be in any country. The statute names five fields (sciences, arts, education, business, athletics). Meeting three criteria is only Step 1. Final merits still has to show sustained acclaim.
This is not a law firm and does not file petitions. USCIS decides each case on its own record.
