Einstein visa / genius visa: nicknames for EB-1A
There is no form called Einstein visa or genius visa. Journalists use those names for EB-1A, the employment-based first-preference category for people of extraordinary ability. The law is still 8 C.F.R. 204.5(h).
What it is, and is not
It is a green card category. You can file for yourself. No employer sponsor and no labor certification. You still have to keep working in the field, and your coming to the United States should substantially benefit the country.
It is not a Nobel-only club, and it is not a shortcut around the 10 criteria. Meeting three boxes is only Step 1. Final merits still looks at the whole file.
